The Prophet Jeremiah says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it…”
— Jeremiah 6:16
Here at Anchored in Messiah, we are not afraid to ask the hard questions:
- Why has modern faith drifted so far from its biblical roots?
- Why is the Torah so misunderstood — and why was it never meant to be?
- What happens when we stop seeing Scripture through tradition… and start seeing it through the Hebraic lens in which it was written?
🪶 The Relevance of Torah Today
Let’s clear something up:
The word Torah doesn’t mean “law” in the cold, legalistic sense. It means “instruction,” “teaching,” or “direction.”
Torah is not a burden — it’s a compass.
It’s the Father’s loving guidance for how to live in harmony with Him, with others, and with the land. It teaches us about justice, mercy, worship, celebration, rest, and community. Torah shows us how to walk like Messiah — because Yeshua lived Torah perfectly.
“Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Yeshua did.”
— 1 John 2:6
We don’t follow Torah to be saved. We follow because we are saved — and now we want to walk in His ways.
👁️🗨️ Why the Hebraic Lens Matters
Most believers today have inherited a Western interpretation of the Bible — filtered through centuries of tradition, councils, and translation choices that often miss the heart of the original text.
But the Bible is a Hebraic book, written by Hebrews, in a Hebrew context, for a covenant people.
When we look at the Scriptures through the lens of the culture, language, and mindset in which they were written, everything changes:
- We see the continuity from Genesis to Revelation.
- We understand the deeper meanings of commandments, feasts, and covenants.
- We stop twisting verses to fit tradition and start letting Scripture interpret Scripture.
🎯 Zeroing in on Truth
Our mission is simple:
To zero in on truth — not tradition.
We don’t claim to have every answer. But we are willing to question, to seek, and to return to the Word of God without the filters that have clouded it for too long.
“Truth isn’t trendy — it’s timeless.”
At Anchored in Messiah, we teach what we know. We teach from the heart. And we invite you to walk the path with us.
🪜 Torah Is Not Too Hard
“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach… the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.”
— Deuteronomy 30:11-14
The Torah has been painted by many as a weight or curse — but Scripture says the opposite.
Yeshua Himself affirmed its value:
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.”
— Matthew 5:17
To fulfill means to bring it to fullness — to embody it perfectly, not to end it.
⚓ Anchored in the Messiah
In a drifting, chaotic world — we need something secure.
We need an anchor.
Not opinions. Not modern theology. Not man-made religion.
We need to be anchored in Messiah.
So we return to the Torah. We walk in the footsteps of Yeshua.
We rediscover the Sabbath, the feasts, the commandments, and the heart of our faith — not through tradition, but through truth.
